I have been trying to get a letter from the DWP detailing my being moved into the support group. Someone called me today from the assessment team and said it is true I have been moved from WRAG to Support group and my money will not change from what I was receiving on my 7 years IB but I will be called for an assessment in 12 months time.

This despite my condition worsening and is long term, surely this will just be a waste of money for them and more stress for me.

Well done. Can someone help me? I apologise for writing in someone else's postbut I do not know how to start a discussion. I have been told I am receiving the ESA50. I have 4 weeks to fill it in, but is this 4 weeks from the date I receive it or the date on the letter with the form? The letter saying they were going to phone arrived 5 days after the date on the letter. With Christmas GP's surgery is often closed, so getting a letter in time will be very difficult. I am worried. Thanks for any help and I am so pleased for you Catherine. Best wishes.

i was told my money would not go up either as i have been moved from wrag to support on reconsideration after ib transfer.
i cant understand why i wouldnt get the extra support group premium & have written to dwp to quiery this.

yes it would be a waste of money & more stress for you & me but im afraid its a vicious circle of assesment, appeal & then all over again. how they are saving money by this constant cycle i dont know.
i think its to wear us all down into giving up!

It sounds like you are receiving a payment as part of the Transitional Protection, it may be that any Premium you are eligible for is still less than this payment and as a result the total does not change. See

What will I be paid?

However, it would still be worth pursuing to ensure that your "account" shows the premium and therefore that the additional amount is minimised, so that you recieve any increases in ESA sooner.

Hope that makes sense

yes it is a little confusing.
at the moment i am recieving exactly the same amount i was getting when on IB.
this is made up of enhanced premium plus a £2.10 top up, but its still £5.60 a week less than what my new support group status should be.
So i dont really understand why the wouldnt pay me the extra now?

does it mean the £2.10 top up should stop & they should now pay me an extra £5.60 - £2.10 leaving my extra being £3.50 a week??

oh im confusing myself now haha

If you want a specific answer you will need to get face to face advice from your local CAB or Welfare Rights office.
