hi today i received letter from dla saying they received form 12/10/11 they also say i need to have a health care professional assess me i'm terrified i will lose my hrm mrc as recently had medical for esa and put in wrag would anyone out there recommend home or med centre for assessment i have multiple illness angina diabetes arthritis heart by pass leaving me with complications theres more but won't bore you as there are a lot more like me some worse i have a carer on a daily basis 7 days a week and inbetween my hubby and son help me originally i was awarded dla indefinitely i was hoping for decision before xmas so it would be a huge worry out the way :( but now i'm back hanging on washing line waiting wondering when this is gonna happen any help advice greatly appreciated

Hi,

Normally a DLA medical assessment would be held at ones home, where one may feel more comfortable. It may also give the assessor more insight as to how on lives as a disabled person and what ones care/mobility needs are (which is what an award of DLA is based on).

There is a guide to DLA medicals in the members area (accessible from the orange box on left of forum).
