Contribution based ESA was created by C&L

Hi

As I understand it, from April 2012, contribution based ESA will only last 12 months before it becomes means tested.

I have been claiming contribution based ESA for over 18 months and there is a possibility that I'll still be claiming it in April 2012.

Will my claim for contribution based ESA automatically cease in April 2012 or does the 12 month period start in April 2012? I'm confused!
