Higher phase ESA was created by Lesley
Sorry if this is a stupid question but having applied for ESA in December backdated three months; I received confirmation today that I have been awarded the higher phase and placed into Support Group (many thanks to B&W for their guide to filling in the form!). My question is does the higher phase payment get backdated to the 13 week qualifying period?
Many thanks in anticipation as I am more than sure you will know the answer to this one!

You would normally be paid the higher rate from the first day of week 14, but I'm afraid I don't know how the backdating effects things.

Thank you for your reply - they have only paid the lower amount £135 fortnightly but are now upping it to £119.85 per week from 27th April - would it be a good idea to phone DWP directly and ask them?
