ESA re-assessment was created by veeber
Hi

I made a new claim for ESA in December 2011 and placed in the support group in March. A few weeks ago I got an ESA50 (4 months since the support group decision). Is this to be expected for the rest of my time on ESA? If so, making a recovery (PTSD forces) will be almost impossible. It just really vexes me!

Unfortunately everybody receiving ESA should expect to be regularly assessed, see

How often will I be reviewed

if anyone thinks they do not need regular reassessment I suggest they present a good argument backed by

a) their own medical advisors
(b) medical documentary evidence
(c) the prognosis appropriate to their condition
available in the DWP A to Z of medical conditions available online

and make an argument that you should not be reviewed every few months but at longer intervals. If your condition is exacerbated by the stress of reviews this should be pointed out, as well as any evidence that in the past it has done so

If you feel you are being reviewed so frequently to the point of being harassed then you could seek the assistance of your MP
