Filling in DLA form by cut & pasting in typed text was created by twinkerzzz
Hi
The DLA have sent me a renewal claim form and i want to cut and paste in the typed text into individual boxes.
I did this with my ESA form, but i note in your dla guide you only make reference to filling in the form by'writing'. The DLA form also says fill in with black ink. I was wondering if cut and pasted typed text in black ink is acceptable with the DLA ? I understand there is an online version but i am not familiar with this and am concerned it may be different from the renewal claim form i was sent.
thanks for your time

Nicholson
There is an online version of the claim form, see
DLA Claim forms
In either case, you do not need to "write" in the comment boxes and can do as you are suggesting, but do not feel constrained to fit your text to the box.

I've completed DLA forms this way. I type all the info in a Word doc, print it, cut it out then stick it in the relevant page! I also save my Word doc for future renewals where I can amend if necessary. I am on HRM and HRC indefinitely, and although I am over 65 so will not have to deal with changes to PIP, I'm not confident that it will stay like this forever!
