Help please, very worried was created by Marie22
I hope someone can help as I'm so worried. I am on DLA indef and a few months ago I was moved from IB to WRAG. I put in an appeal to be in the support group but have heard nothing since. This afternoon I was at my GPs collecting my prescriptions, it was gone 5pm before I got back. While I was out someone from Standards Assurance Unit of Social Security Agency had called to my home, my son said I wasn't in and he left his card. Has anyone any idea what this could be, and just coming to my home without any warning ? I really feel distressed.

I am afraid there is no way to know why they have visited you, it could be simple, it could be complicated, it could be a curtesy call or something about your benefits.

I realise you will have to sit on this all weekend, but the only way you will know the purpose of the call, will be to contact them on Monday.

Sorry

Thanks Gordon

It's terrible to feel this anxiety on top of illness. I sometimes feel being sick leaves you open to all sorts, but I have to remind myself that I have ample plentiful medical evidence to support what I say, it was the calling to my home unannounced that has thrown me. Now will have to endure until Monday.

Well after a very stressful and sleepless weekend I had this man out to my house this morning. He was quite pleasant and said he was just checking that I was receiving the correct benefits, asked me what I was on, I told him and that was that. Strange ? Will now have to wait and see if I hear about my appeal. He did say there was nothing to worry about (as if )
