re placed into wrag group after 8 month wait was created by tango
after returning esa50 form at Christmas and a medical in April i finally got my decision letter earlier this week saying that i was being placed in the Wrag group. The letter does not say how long for. I am appealing anyway as i should be in the support group, this has already been sent off same day as i got the decision. I rang dwp today to ask for an explanation and esa85 form and the helpful guy says these will be sent out, i won't hold my breath. I also asked him if my payday had changed and he said no but my first payment of esa would be sent out as a giro as my bank details from incapacity benefit had not being transferred over to Esa. I thought the transfer was supposed to be seamless but it looks like it isn't I was due to be paid this Saturday but as the giro was only going to be issued today it looks like i will have to wait a few days. Anyway i would like to thank everybody at Benefits at work for the excellent advice offered.

Thanks for letting us know your result. Although it mightnot feel like it, being placed in the WRAG is actually a successful outcome.
Unlike DLA, ESA is an open-ended award that DWP can reassess at any stage. For this reason, claimants are not automatically told when to expect reassessment but you will probably get a good indication from the ESA85a.
