Just wondering if being able to use a mobility scooter will count as being able to mobilise like a wheelchair when new pip comes in??

HB

I believe the latest draft PIP descriptors references both a manual wheelchair (self-propelled), and a motorised device, with usage of the former scoring 12 points and the latter 15 points towards the mobility component.

Hi,

You may find this informative also :

"Guide to the draft assessment criteria for PIP".

You must take on board though, that as Gordon says, this is only a draft and not necessarily the final version.
