PERMITTED WORK RULES NOT EXPLAINED TO ADHD DAUGHTE was created by Lizzi Gill
My adhd daughter who also has severe kidney disease did a small amount of permitted work but over 18 months without realising it was time limited. Hence esa stopped and they are clawing money back for 6 months. This will crucify her as she has just moved into independent living. In our appeal can we claim that rules need to be made very very clear to people with mental health issues. It was not verbally told to her neither was it clear on the internet.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Just to add
A quick search of the internet for "esa permitted work" results in the following link being the first result.
www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits...lorinjured/DG_171909

I appreciate that to most 'normal' functioning folk this quick search brings up the obvious information. However those with ADHD struggle in many ways plus I dont know that this information was clearly available 18 months ago.....
