Review of DLA was created by ash
My husband contacted DWP as he thought he was entitled to the higher mobility rate under the revised visual impairment criteria and they said they will send him out a whole new renewal pack. He has since found out that he does not meet the higher rate mobility criteria. Do we have to fill out the form and send it back even if he no longer wants it reviewed? He is worried that he may loose his care component if the whole award is reviewed. Thanks

To be clear, you are not reporting a Change in Circumstances, which the DWP might insist you pursue, the underlying criteria have changed and you were seeking re-assessment based on these.

Any re-assessment process only begins when the claim forms are returned, so if you do not send anything back, the DWP will not pursue the matter. My husband contacted DWP as he thought he was entitled to the higher mobility rate under the revised visual impairment criteria and they said they will send him out a whole new renewal pack.
