This hasn’t happened to me but…

If a current SDA or IB claimant is subsequently placed in ESA WRAG rather than the Support Group and opts to appeal will he/she lose any benefit ‘twixt appeal and tribunal hearing?

Hi MW,

Someone who appeals being in the WRAG to be placed into the SG, would continue to receive WRAG rate of ESA whilst they go through the appeals process. (For upto 365 days if Contribution Based ESA in The WRAG)

See :

What will I be paid while I appeal?

Do I have to attend WFIs while I appeal?

12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)
