esa changes in social secuirty benefits letter was created by newbie27
hi had a letter in feb
saying...
from 8 april 2013 rates will change
is this just a stanadrd letter?
then is saying
what happens f the descion is looked at again
then how to appeal???
my total income realted amount is 181.15
what does income related mean?
is there two different types of income related and somethings ellse

The DWP are currently sending all benefit claimants letters notifying them of what their payments will be after 6 April, when there will be an increase in most benefit rates, it sounds like this letter is telling you what your ESA payments will be.
There are two "types" of ESA, Income Related which is dependant on a claimants income and assets and is usually awarded to those with little of either, the other is Contribution Based ESA, where eligibility is determined by a claimants NI Contrinution history. It is also possible to receive ESA(CB) with and ESA(IR) top-up.
I hope this explains it.
