Hi All Just a quick report on re booking an ATOS 'one time' Medical.The Freephone 0800 number was very quick and easy to use.Just 2 push button options. Awnsered within seconds,no holding on,by a friendly call centre person. Done and dusted within a minute. Current times offered are well under 3 weeks however-they were very inflexible on any longer. Not picky about reasons in fact didnt ask why though I volunteered a reason. Now the EAS50 had plenty of lengthy replies and the genuine awnsers must have scored high up to be even off the Point-O-Meter BUT still called for Medical. This happened before and subsequently the case was passed until further notice. Why do ATOS insist on having it all again ' in person'?It implies they just want to check they are getting it from a 'real'person maybe?Fair Dos. You hear statements that "everyone"is to be re-tested but we know that in practice not everyone is re-tested( with a Medical) as evidence on this forum unless you define re testing as including just filling in the EAS50 in which case they are right.Everyone is sent an EAS50 true. Isnt all this more about weeding out bogus /fictitious claims than much more? What proportion of Claimants are being called for a Medical and on what criteria?It seems they may just be picking randomly on cases. Lastly my local GP practice receptionist has never heard of ATOS or The Welfare Reforms! Boy have they got something coming down the pipeline! Relaxing now as some of the pressure off for some weeks-more time to prepare.
