ESA WRAG to support group, two weeks later.......

Was awarded ESA WRAG in Dec2012, appealed and decision was changed to support group, two weeks later I recieived the new ESA50 01/13 form to be completed by 24 July for review in August! Is that usual, Job centre staff actually told me I was not due a review until 2015. What is going on with this system. The only change that has occurred is that my condition has worsened slightly due to the break up of my relationship and I slashed my wrists.

It could be that you had a 9 months prognosis on the award.

It could also be that the referral to ATOS to start your reassessment has been actioned early.

We have had quite a lot of members recently receiving their reassessment ESA50's earlier than one would expect, which would generally be around 8 weeks before the reassessment date.

You can actually be reassessed any time after 3 months of an award.

If you wish to query the early reassessment, you should contact The DWP WCA Team at the Benefits Office that deals with your ESA.

How often will I be reviewed

Unless you receive something in writing to the contrary, I would advise that you fill the ESA50 in and return it by the deadline given.
