Hi there
My GP has been contacted to provide a medical factual report and this has been done. I know each case is different, but do they normally ask to see you as well as the factual report. I applied in early May and sent the forms back on the 28 th so hopefully will ave a response in next couple of months.
In the meantime I have been to surgeon who is advising against spinal surgery due to significant risk and has referred me to pain clinic to get on top of pain. He has advised me to try and live with condition (spinal tumour) until such times as the pain and deficit outweighs the serious risks. He has left it to me to decide.
Should I let the DWP know as this is new info? If so, do I just ring them?
Cheers

It will have reduced the likelihood of a face to face assessment, but there is still a chance that one will be required.
Write to the DWP with the new information.
