Suspended benefits was created by fighterpilot
Hi forum users,
any advice on this please? Its something a friend and i are discussing at the moment, although its not directly linked to ESA or DLA.
If a person is in receipt of JSA and Housing Benefit and their benefits are suspended for some reason (not taking part in a forced work placement, or something similar) say for a specific period, maybe 6 weeks or 3 months or whatever would be likely, would that person still be entitled to receive Housing Benefit and also would they be able to receive monetary benefit/help from some other source until their own benefit (JSA etc) was re instated? This is causing huge disagreement and we'd be grateful for any help.
Many thanks in advance.

I'm not really supposed to answer HB or JSA related questions. But if your JSA is sanctioned you should continue to receive HB and can apply to your council for additional help.

As Housing Benefiit and Job Seekers Allowance are not within the remit of moderators, I am locking this thread to prevent further queries on these benefits.
