Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Thank you every one. Your advice and support so valued. I have just been placed in the support group on my reassessment. This is for 2 years. For mental health problems, bipolar.
My question is Im working hard at getting myself as well as i possibly can with a new GP who is very supportive. I feel i want to try out some voluntary work 2 hrs a week and see how it goes. Will this trigger a reassessment straight away when i see an advisor to get permission for this.
Many thanks
Carole

Providing the voluntary work you want to undertake does not contradict your statements on the ESA50 it should not result in an early assessment of your claim.
With regard volunteering, please have a look at our guide on the following link, which explains what you can and cannot do.

Hi I've had a letter today moving me from IB to Support group without medical...thank you group for the help you supply.
My question though is I can't find anywhere on the letter that it says for how long, does this mean they could reassess me very soon?

The decision letter does not tell you when to expect reassessment, you need to get a copy of your ESA85a and/or Statement of Reasons to get an idea of this (although DWP are not bound to stick to this).

Sorry I'm a bit dumb...what's an ESA85a or statement of reasons....I did the ESA50 and sent it in in March along with all my Medical reports/Drs info etc as you suggest and all I got this morning was the decision letter saying that I'd been put in support group and the breakdown of how they work out the money. Should I be asking for an ESA85a?
