I believe we would not have received the right decision for him without using the comprehensive guides and reading the excellent advice and guidance given on the board.
One question.....The letter received today is a 'Changes in the ESA rates payable' so purely financial. Will he also be sent a formal decision letter?
With many thanks again from the both of us.

Congratulations on the award. Well done.SussexChris wrote: Today I have learned my son has been placed in the Support Group without the need for a Face to Face assessment! As his claim was for learning difficulties and mental health issues the relief of not having to go for the F2F is unbelievable.

The DWP are currently sending out the annual entitlement letters, if it refers to April and possibly November then the letter is one of these and he should still receive a Decision Letter, just be aware that most DWP letter are badly worded and it is easy to confuse what is what. If in doubt check with the DWP office managing his claim.

Yes it was definitely a change of circumstance letter referring to him now being placed in the Support Group. It detailed his benefit amount now and from April and also the amount he was due as an arrears payment backdated to September.
I expect the award letter will arrive shortly and if not I will contact them at the end of next week.
We are still awaiting his 'invitation' to transfer from DLA to PIP so I am hoping that the reasons for their decision will be useful when the time comes to go through that process. Will it ever end
Thank you again.
