It is under the heading - Attending benefit -related assessments and appointments with a work coach. It seams to be saying that anyone who wants to do any form of permitted work has to attend future assessments with a work coach. I have looked at the PW1 form before and so I new that the bit about a work coach at assessments must have been added recently.
As far as I can see, all it is doing is emphasising to claimants not in the Support Group that their doing PW does not excuse them from meeting any requirements set on them by their JC+ or Work Programme advisor.

Thanks for your answer. Can you confirm that people in the support group of ESA who wish to do some form of permitted work will not be required to attend their ESA assessments with a work coach? The DWP could have avoided any confusion by stating that it does not apply to the support group.
Permitted Work seems more formal than years ago. When it was called therapeutic earnings the emphasis was on work as a way to cope.

The ESA legislation has not been changed, members of the SG are not required to attend Work Focussed Interviews or to participate in Work Related Activity, however, you might want to have a look at the following;
Interviews at JC+ when in Support Group
If you are not already doing PW then please think carefully before you start it, if the PW you are doing raises concern as to whether you still have the limitations that placed you in the SG in the first place, then you may be assessed early.
