Hi all, I have just got back from my PIP tribunal hearing and I am very pleased to be able to say the Judge ruled in my favour and I have been reinstated to the enhanced rate. Many thanks B&W
However I am a little concerned as I was not given any paperwork stating the out come ! So have no proof to send the DWP.
Is this normal and how long is it before I hear from the DWP regarding the outcome?
Thank you x

Congratulations on the result, well done.

It sounds as if they are going to confirm the result by post, this is usually done when the venue is busy.

It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal Decision, I would check with the DWP at the end of the week that they have received the Decision Notice.

Thank you Gordon,
Also could you tell me if the DWP take notice of the tribunal result regarding length of award?
My original award was for 5 years but today the judge said my award was to be increased to 15 years as my condition would not improve and I shouldn't have had to go though this tribunal hearing 18 months after my last hearing.
Many thanks x

The award length is part of the Decision, so the DWP have honour what the Tribunal says but there is no 15-year award, it's ten years or an On-Going award, I'm guessing the former.
