IB to ESA Support Group and without a medical! was created by digitalrace
I have just received a letter from DWP informing me that I have been placed in the ESA Support group on mental health grounds and no mention of a medical. What a relief!!!
Filling in the hideous ESA50 form and gathering evidence has been a greulling and stressful process. I am so grateful for your expert help and could not have completed the form without the invaluable help from the Benefitsandwork guides and website.
I completed the ESA50 form years in advance and then the DWP changed the form in January and this completely threw me into a very stressful turmoil. However Benefitsandwork guide to the new form came to my rescue and I was able to navigate the the new form (with its ridiculously small boxes).
This morning I phoned the DWP to confim the above letter and my status and asked when I might expect a review as this was not indicated in the letter. I just got a vauge reply. So my questions are; as there is no date regarding a review what does this mean? How long is the usual time spent in the Support group before they start to bother me again?
Once again a big heartfelt thank you to all at Benefitsandwork for your help!!

Congratulations on the award and thank you for your comments about the guides.
If you request the ESA85A medical report from your local DWP office, the prognosis should give you an idea of when you will next be assessed.

Hello Gordon
Thank you for your prompt reply and your congratulations. On your advice I have requested an ESA85A medical report from the DWP and as you say this should give me an idea about my prognosis and potential review date.
Much gratitude for your expert help.
