Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi JA,
I am glad that you are feeling a little more positive. You also appear to have addressed most of my concerns too! If you feel that you have been unfairly treated, then you may wish to make a complaint.
Please let us know if you need anymore help.

Morning. I am not an expert on your additional income. BUT. If there has been any overpayment from the DWP, you are not liable to repay if you have kept them informed of everything (applies to ‘old’ ESA. The onus is on them and is therefore not your ‘fault’. This is enshrined in law. I appreciate you are stressed, but hold onto that x

Thank you again everyone. I have not heard anything from DWP. I am tempted to phone and ask what is going on. I was told, by the advisor on the phone, to send my accounts to them but have been given no instructions to whom, or where, I should send them.
I have been in receipt of ESA since 2006 so I presume I am on the old ESA but am really not sure. I was relieved to receive my ESA payment as usual on Friday.

Hi JA
Yes in 2006 you would have been on legacy benefit.

I did as I was asked and I sent off the accounts for the holiday let. It shows profit made for the financial year. It isn’t much at all. If they wanted to class it as earnings it is well within the allowed amount per week.
Yesterday I received no ESA.
No letter to explain why I didn’t receive any.
I discovered I had nothing in my account this morning. Since then I have felt extremely stressed and sick. My heart feels like it will pound out of my body.

Hi JA
I would contact DWP to see what is going on, you may want to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; you can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
