Been filling out my forms with the help of old ones. The time involved was a minute not 2, but that is still a good deal slower than normal. Some people can cover 5 times that distance in less than 10 seconds (admittedly not many but still a few).

Is there any way I can send this recorded (perhaps a non free post address)? In the past I have paid to have these letters recorded but there has never been any tracking details (even that it arrived) available.

Also there is no mention of it in the forms but am I able to send scans of the forms direct to the DWP. Years ago my wife sent a load of paperwork to the courts by email and the case was heard without her even having to be there.

I've sent the form of. Not happy posting it 2nd class free post in a post box; so I took it to the Post Office and sent it 1st class signed for. Not sure what will happen next with all this Omicron worry.

Not sure what (or when) happens next (this is my first review, after being on DLA for a few decades). I know the form got there on time and I guessing they have accepted it as such as I am still getting PIP at the same rate. They did send me a letter telling me my award had been extended as noted in first post, but they seem to have gone back tot he original award dates. As the form had to be in a month before the original end date.

Do they ever do awards based on the forms? They have allways done so with my ESA (had tests for Incapacity Benefit but was moved to ESA on forms alone).

Hi bmjohnson

A lot of people had their awards extended due to COVID, but review forms can be sent out a year before the end day - which is why it seemed a short while later after ectensions that claimants were getting forms.

Are you asking do they do paper-based assessments? Yes, they do. Sometimes claimants request a paper-based assessment (and sometimes that is given and other times refused) and occasionally the decision is made without a request because the evidence offered it is clear a telephone or face to face assessment should not be carried out.

So it could be months before I hear anything; possibly not untill the date I was given?

Hi bmjohnson

Sorry but we cannot give you a timeline as it varies across the regions, but yes, it could be months before you hear anything.

You could always give DWP a call first thing in the morning to see what is happening if it is playing on your mind.
