DLA to PIP was created by theophilus9
Good afternoon please advise I completed the transfer to PIP for my 16 son, I'm his appointee, I sent it in 6 weeks ago not heard anything until a call from a withheld number when I answered the lady asked if I was the appointee for my son she then said that she had looked through the for but wanted to ask me further questions she mainly asked about him going out in public and how far he could walk, and a question about bathing and eating food I was on the phone for 25 minutes only and she then said she would send the Report back to PIP this afternoon I am still in shock as I thought I would get an appointment sent out and the assessment would take over an hour. I am just confused I have never been in this situation the lady was nice but straight to the point
Thank you

Hi Buster

This sounds as if the assessor was doing a paper-based assessment, but just wanted to clarify a couple of issues and that is why you didn't get any warning. This does happen, but the assessor should have clarified it on the phone. You can ring up after 48 hours and ask for a copy of the report. Normally it would be a PA4 - if there had been a formal telephone assessment, but it is a PA3 if they have done a paper-based assessment.
