PIP RANDOM TEXT RECEIVED SAYING I HAVE A PHONE ASSESSMENT BOOKED.

I have received a text from an unknown number that just came up saying it was from PIP. I have no contact in my lists as PIP & received it today on Easter Monday bank holiday . How can they force themselves into my contact list???

There is so many scam emails and texts these days that it has sent me into severe panic mode. It says a telephone assessment has been booked for 24th of April. I have not fully opened the text message out of sheer panic. I suffer from severe anxiety and this is doing me no favours, they have a full history of my several mental and physical health issues, should i open it or text it. Will i get sanctioned if i dont answer the text???

you cant allow messages like this especially when they are of previous suicide attempts. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP,, IS THIS THE NEW NORMAL. NOBODY SENDS ME RANDOM TEXTS AS I AM VERY CAUTIOUS ABOUT WHO HAS MY NUMBER. PLEASE ADVISE, I AM SHAKING WITH FEAR

i Have a"telephone assessment" sent by text, ON 29TH aPRIL 2023 that after checking, IT can take over 1 hour. CAN I PLEASE SEND THEM EVIDENCE, I AM EXTREMELY STRESSED ABOUT TALKING ABOUT MY MULTIPLE ISSUES TO A COMPANY AND PERSON THAT I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF. MY ANXIETY WILL BE THROUGH THE ROOF, MY ALREADY DANGEROUSLY HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE WILL GO THROUGH THE ROOF AND I WILL SURELY FORGET TO MENTION MANY OF THE ISSUES AND PROBLEMS REGARDING MY MILTIPLE ISSUES, JUST SO THE CALL ENDS ASAP, WHICH WILL THEN NO DOUBT LEAD TO ME HAVING TO APPEAL. SURELY I MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE AND DrS AND SURGEONS AND MENTAL HEALTH LETTERS AS EVIDENCE INSTEAD OR AT THE VERY LEAST IN ADDITION TO THE CALL. I HAD A MENTAL BREAKDOWN AFTER WORKING IN A CALL CENTRE FOR THE ACTUAL DWP AND I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO EVEN ANSWER THE CALL. PLEASE PLEASE, WHY CAN I NOT SEND INFO AND PROOF OF MY MULTIPLE ISSUES, THEY HAVE NOT EVEN STATED MY NAME OR NATIONAL INSURANCE NUMBER IN THE TEXT & I AM EXTREMELY ANXIOUS ABOUT GIVING ANY INFO OVER THE PHONE DUE TO SCAMS. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS. I WOULD RATHER HAVE A FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENT OR JUST SEND ALL MY INFO IN VIA POST. THE FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENTS ARE TRAUMATIC ENOUGH BUT I WOULD PREFER THAT OVER A TELEPHONE CHAT.

hi, i apologise for replying in capitals, it was because i was in a highly distressed and agitated state. i have had a letter from them a couple of weeks ago, saying my PIP would increase due to the April rises. I have just had text messages from this new company, i spent 2 hours yesterday trying to get through to PIP on the phone and even their message about time scale cut off half way through via recorded message, I replied and sent a review form in a few months ago. heard nothing but then got random texts saying they are now in control. Just write to my doctors surgery. I cannot cope with an hour long interview which will be recorded but i have no chance to record it myself. They cannot treat people like this with a long history of mental health and physical issues, including suice and a heart attack. NONE of which will improve. I am an alcoholic and need valium just to leave the house, so a phone call for an hour will probably mean i hang up. which will probably mean i will get my pip being stopped. Would it be OK to do that and ask for a written appeal form. I am on over 13 different medications every day and this cant be demonstrated just by a random phone call. I have tried ringing again today but impossible to get through. i just wish they would leave me alone and let me reply by letter, or at least ask my doctor how my symptoms where. It is completely unfare and i propably will not even answer the call due to my anxiety and distrust. IF i was deaf, i would be given another option to respond, i demand another option to answer their tricks. CAPITA did all this befoe and were found unfit for purpose and i know that by getting someone off benefits, they get a bonus. I cant have anyone with me, as it is difficuly enough to say how i mylife is, without it being heard by someone i am close to.

I will write to my MP. Can I answer the call and request a paper review??? a telephone appointment has been forced upon me and they dont even know my name or national insurance number
