DYLANC I couldn't agree more. Watch out for other things too, eg a monstrous new estate applied for planning permission just before covid with our village trapped between it and the motorway. It will hugely damage people's health etc etc if it is built, but the rich rulers don't care.

Hi I have not been on here for a long time but have kept looking in and if I could offer an support I have got in touch . I would just like to say please try and be completely honest even if you have to mention personal problems .From your post it reads that you have lots of problems I to to many to mention but the lady who was on the phone was very cool calm and professional she wanted to know how all my conditions and medications affected me I have nothing to hide so I just told her every thing she wanted to know some of the questions were repeated but asked in a different way but I did my best to answer every question Yes I felt completely drained when the assessment was over but its 14 years I have had these health conditions I know they will never get better but I will keep going .All I would say over the years and two tribunals stick to your guns you are a person who needs help why we all have to keep fighting like this is wrong but it wont go away there will be more battles to come Keep strong

thanks for your advice about asking for a letter from my Doctor, it clearly says i have severe anxiety disorder and depression & a telephone assessment will be detrimental to my mental health
but how do i get the letter to the assessment department in time, my assessment is on 24th April, it will go "missing if i post it" I cant ring them or they will say i was ok making a call, which is completely different to an interview under pressure. would providing a proof of postage cover me??
or can i send it o them in any other method?? i have lost count of how many documents"have not been received" by the departments involved

SLIGHT CONCERN THAT I RECEIVED A TEXT REMINDER ABOUT MY PHONE ASSESSMENT TODAY 7 DAYS BEFORE, & later WITHIN A FRACTION OF A SECOND I GOT 2 TEXTS, one from my Drs surgery saying my letter was available to collect and then within a split second a text came through from PIP again as another reminder. This is really messing with my head. Are GP and the PIP in cahoots,, ive neve received 2 reminders abou an appointment in the same day, and cerrtainly not at the same time as my Dr surgery text me. i just feel paranoid and terriefied now

If you can scan the letter then you should be able to email it to them with a cover post explaining who you are, include your National Insurance Number,
If you cannot scan it then take a picture of the letter and email this but make sure that the letter can actually be read before sending.
Finally, ask if your GP practice can provide an electronic copy with the GP's signature on it.

No, the DWP and your GP are not in "cahoots".
SMS or texts is a "fire and forget" messaging system so delivery is not always immediate, it is likely that both messages were waiting when your phone connected and that is why they came at the same time.
