quick update guys, i cannot thankyou enough for your support and advic, i convinced you help save many many peoples lives with the advice and guidance. i have now had paper assessment and been given enhanced rate and enchanced mobility, however their numbers dont make sence, theyre saying I am entitled to £89.60 for enhanced rate, which should be £101.75 and £62.55 for enhanced mobility which on governments own website says should be £71. I am bamboozled as where they get these figures from, Does anyone have any idea or is it yet another mistake from pip??? THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT

Hi DYLANC

Many congratulations for hanging in there and getting your award. Enhanced rates for both parts - that is good news. I know it's been a long wait and many twists and turns - but you got there!

I honestly don't understand the figures. I know you don't want to phone them - so I would send off a letter. It's a nuisance, but you need to query it. And quote the latest figures. Even if you are owed backdated money - those figures don't appear to match anything.

Now, don't worry about the tax issue. They send that out to people so if a claimant owns a car, they can apply for free tax if they wish. With enhanced PIP, claimants can also apply for a Motability car, but there's no obligation and plenty of people either don't drive, don't choose to drive, or just don't want to join the scheme.

And DYLANC, another option you have, only if it suits you, is to use part of your Enhanced Mobility to choose a mobility battery scooter from the Motability organisation.
I only mention it because not everyone is aware they do scooters as well as cars.
Well done on your award, I do hope you can now recover from the stress somewhat,
Denby
