Thank you for your kind words Denby, it made me cry just by at least someone cared.
STILL NOTHING FROM THEM, I AM ON 17 DIFFERENT MEDS, FROM MY MENTAL HEALTH AND A HEART ATTACK I HAD 2 YEARS ago & multiple other conditions that I have. I am only 48 & These things will never get better, they dont seem to understand that They have received the letter from my Doctor confirming my severe anxiety disorder and depression & suicide attempt and also one from my MP Lisa Nady, it is even written as being from the House of Commons. i know they received them as i always pay for recorded delivery I still am not sleeping i just drink until i pass out and i honestly dont know when I last had anything to eat, as i have no appetite at all. Even just a courtesy text to advise me whats going on would probably ease things a little. if they can text me about an appointment then surely they can text me the latest. ive never felt so mentally and physically exhausted in my life

Hi Dylanc

I'm appalled that you haven't heard anything. I know you're probably not up to it, but if you possibly can, I would ring the DWP and tell them what happened. I don't want to add to your worries, but I am concerned that IAS might say you didn't answer the phone. We know they have done this to some people. If you can't phone - I would pop a letter in the post and send it recorded delivery - to confirm you waited for the call and nothing happened. I am so sorry you are having to deal with this.

After many weeks of mental turmoil and anxiety and virtually no sleep at all, I have received a text saying its from DWP saying "the health professional has sent us their report, we will make a decision on your PIP, but it may take 6 weeks before you hear from us"

I have not been assessed, by anyone or anything, in person or by phone, No contact at all.
So i now have to wait up to six weeks for the result from a report of an assessment that has not hapenned. This is all too much now, i cant take much more. can someone please reply & let me know if this is normal procedure please please. theres only so much a human being can take

Hi Dylanc

It sounds as if they have changed their mind and done a paper-based assessment. The only way to confirm this is to ring and ask or to wait until you get the decision letter.

Hi Dylanc

Im new here and have just caught up with your posts.

I feel for you I really do, its unnecessary stress you just dont need right now but you pulled through it like a champion so well done!.
Posts like this gives the rest of us strenght, endurance and hope so thank you for holding on.

Im also dealing with what seems to be a never ending nightmare right now.
Im going round in circlues with them so much I even have to appoint a relative as a lasting power of attorney now to act immediately with consent just to try and help me with these kind of appointments as im struggling that much, and I definitely cant take on an hour long phone call assessment with lots of painfully stimulating questions. So I know how you feel about phonecall assessment attempts you just shouldnt be having anyway.

It does sound like they finally did a paper based assessment for you though which is excellent news, its what they should have done in the beginning based off your situation and evidence you sent in.
I would definitely keep that text as evidence as confirmation of this.

I think your at the wait & see stage now so take advantage of this rest period before the decision comes through. :) all the best with it.

:)

Companies and organisations can send text message with a name, this has nothing to do with your contacts list/you saving the number and naming it.

I also received a text message from PIP about my upcoming telephone review.in the text message there is their phone number and website address.it’s from Independent Assessment Service.
The text says a letter will also follow.
