Yes my Appeal has gone in so to anyone that reads this you must give more info i downloaded the old forms and gave more info on my illness and how it effects me (the things i cant do because of my health)
The new renewal forms have only 2 short boxes to but your details in and the wording of the form makes you think that the info that i gave on my old claim would be taken into account but it didnt so when you are up for renewal use more paper to give as much detail as you can dont do what i did now i haveto go to appeal

I got a letter from the DWP today, saying they had recieved my appeal form, and that if I had not heard from them in the next 11 weeks, I was to telephone them. 11 weeks eh. long time.

Gillipops.......... glad you have an appeal in, we'll keep each other posted............

Hi,

Happened to me too after more than ten years.

Send the appeal form back with a letter from your doctor if you can get it in time. I sent my appeal form by Special Delivery so they could not say they hadn't received it.

Best of luck, Chris

I'm waiting for a letter from my GP, he is quite happy to support me, I went to see my consultant on 16/02, and explained everything to him, and he is also happy to support my claim, but............. he says that I must ask the DLA dept to write to him for this, I have written them a letter, explaining this, but I thought that now I had gone to appeal, it was up to me to provide extra evidence, so I won't hold my breath that they will write to him.

Joyce, did you get your DLA back or haven't you heard yet?

Hi everyone
I just thought I would share my experience and maybe it will give you some hope.

I filled in my renewal form and was not overly worried as my condition has not changed and if anything slightly worse. However I too was told my middle rate care was not being renewed, and the same as Harley the reasons they gave were things that I was suffering from which were backed up by my GP's letter!!. They might as well just call you a liar.

Anyway I can't survive without my DLA as it would mean my income support would go down to £7.38 a week. I wasn't going to let the sods get away with it so I went for an Appeal. As I am housebound approx. 5 days out of 7, I went for the paper hearing and crossed my fingers.

Fanfare - the Appeal Panel unanimously over-ruled the DLA's decision and not only reinstated my middle care but awarded me low rate mobility as well for another 2 years!!

I hope that panel live long and happy lives!!

So don't give up, keep fighting, if you are ill and or disabled you are entitled to the money so don't let the b's grind you down.

all the best and good luck xx

PS does anyone else grind their teeth in anger everytime that benefit fraud add comes on TV? How can you get it if you are healthy when they don't give it to people who genuinely deserve it???!!!!!
