Why is the appointee process so broken ? was created by Sum
hello,
does anyone know how long the appointee process takes ?
UC lot say nothing on system to confirm apptee.... despite DWP visiting officer stated he was from local UC office so would update UC side.
PIP lot say they have requested appointee info and pending reply from UC
feel like DWP is chasing tails ......
How to escalate ? how hard can it be ?

Hi David,
hope u r well.
Visiting DWP officer appt was completed on 23 Oct 25. DWP visiting officers are always nice x i've met 3 so far - but once the paper trial starts things go slow or not at all.
I called PIP on 31 Oct 25 and agent said they had made a request to UC for appointee info.

Hi Sum
You can phone any DWP telephony agent and ask if they have access to CIS Searchlight which is the DWP general claimant information system. They can check if the Appointeeship has been uploaded by looking under the Relationships Tab on CIS.
