Hi, I am pleased to report my wife's claim for her mobility component to be reinstated after returning from living abroad has been successful and we were pleased no face to face assessment was necessary. Best wishes to all.

That's good news Carper! Thanks for keeping us informed regarding this as it is not something with which we have a great deal of experience.

I am sorry but we do not advise on claiming benefits when abroad or returning to the UK, you really need face to face advice from an advisor with experience in this area, they need access to your documentation so they can liaise directly with the DWP on your behalf.
Do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

Is anyone could help me with understanding how my son's DLA can be export to another EU country.
He is 3 years old and receiving middle rate care component. I'm his career and also would like to transfer CA abroad.
He is British citizen who was born and lived in UK since then.
I am EU citizen who have lived and worked in UK for the last 14 years.
Where to get proper information how to apply for the transfer?
I will be grateful for any advice.
