Gordon,

So we are on IR, not CB like the DWP told us, or just receiving an IR addition?

Will we be entitled to prescriptions charges then?

This is all so confusing ! :blink:

What would the difference be between being on CB with no IR top-up?

From your previous post you are receiving Contribution Based ESA with an Income Related ESA top-up.

Whilst you are receiving ESA(IR) you are entitled to free prescriptions and Dental Care, you may also receive a discount on eye care. You may also be entitled to Housing Benefit, Council Tax Assistance and help with a mortgage.

If you were to only receive ESA(CB) then you would not be entitled to any of the above and obviously the extra money would not be payable.
