There is nothing in the legislation that requires the loan to have been made with a licensed financial organisation. The money can be a loan, a grant or a gift.

Well I am STILL waiting for the letter explaining the reasons for their original decision!!! I'm really frustrated. I've paid my dad most of the money back, had to keep some to pay insurance and upcoming vets bills and he will pay direct for the other improvements. I guess I'll have to send a registered letter to find out where their letter is, I'll also include proof that I've paid my dad back. I'm worried I'm going to start getting letters demanding that £228. AAAARGH!!!
