Hi MR,

If you look at the link, £50 is the maximum charge.

I have obtained copies of Spirometry tests for people from their G.P. practice free of charge.

The test results are generally printed off the machine at the time and then scanned onto your records.

They usually take up no more than one photocopied A4 page per Spirometry test then there may be one other A4 page if the COPD/Asthma Nurse was seen after the Sprirometry to discuss it.

They cannot charge you £120 for some photocopied A4 pages from your records.

You should take this up with The Practice Manager as it is a Data Protection Act 1998 issue, rather than a "Medical" issue.

I always advise that copies of the Spirometry and subsequent resulting comments are requested at the time of the test/consultation.

Thanks for the quick reply bro58

I have just contacted the surgery manager and she will phone me tomorrow...
I do not know what the charge may be,but after I repeated what you wrote in your reply to me, the manager is going to have a word with the doctor...

Once again thanks... Mick R.

hi thank you , i was intending to wait for a reassessment ,then go for the SG group when armed with enough evidence that would show that i do qualify. But now i have just been informed at Jobcentreplus i will need to come i every month. This is a big problem for me as i am often to breathless to leave home and get a lot of chest infections.I have just got over a chest infection and was worried i would not make it today. My adviser told me to let him know on the day if i am to unwell and he would rearrange the interview.I have had all my interviews over the phone and now i am worried without this i will land myself in it. As i must take part in the interview unless i have good reason or my benefit could be affected.Should i send in GP letters when needed to jobcentreplus or DWP what do they mean by good reason??? or will interviews just be rearranged as advised by my adviser?

Work Focussed Interviews are a mandatory activity however your JC+ advisor can at their discretion defer appointments or hold them over the phone.

If you cannot attend then you may be asked to provide Good Cause (good reason) why you have not met the requirement. Good Cause is poorly defined and is often at the discretion of a Decision Maker, not your JC+ advisor.

If you are hoping to be placed in the Support Group then you will need to show two things, obviously that you meet the one or more of the Support Group criteria, but also that there has been a documented change in your condition since you were last assessed. Whilst it is unusual for it to happen, if you cannot show that there has been a change in your conditions then the DWP are not required to review your claim.

He wrote letters for me to send in to the DWP and atos medicals...
Go see your doctor and explain everything to him...
