Thank you so much for your reply, your help is greatly appreciated. I just want to clarify as I can only find this email address for contacting Maximus: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Would it be acceptable to send an email to this address and make it the attention of my local assessment centre and attach a PDF of my letter and the doctors letter? I am hoping my postal letter will be recieved before the weekend. If they don't I will send it via email.
I am just hoping that I can push the appointment to gain some time for a decision to be made. I am not sure what happens if I cannot attend the second appointment if I explain I provided a letter.
Thanks once again for your advice and guidance, your support aids my anxiety with this matter.
Best Wishes,
Katie.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

If you have the time then I would email this address and ask how to contact the assessment centre where your appointment is, there may be no special address or for the attention, but if there is then your letter will get to the right people faster if it is properly addressed.

Hi,
Many thanks for all your help regarding this matter, I recieved a letter today stating that the healthcare professional has enough evidence to complete their review without the need for an assessment on this occasion. I'm not sure if this is good or bad?
They said they have now passed it to the decision maker and I am awaiting a reply, can you give any guidance on how long it could be before I hear about the decision?
Best Wishes & Many Thanks for all your help and guidance.

It's unusual for recommendations to be made without an assessment so we can't really say whether it is good or bad. Decisions usually take a couple of weeks from when the DWP receive the assessment report.
