She turned up on time, was very civil and quite likable.
She was a qualified nurse so understood everything I said
I won't go into the health problems, we'll be here all night.

We went through everything thing on my PIP form and she asked how the health problems affect my everyday life as well as physical restrictions.
After about an hour she said there was a couple of things she wanted me to do.
First, raise my arms one at a time, I lifted my left but could not even raise my right to shoulder level.
Second, could I stand and walk a few steps so she could see how I move.
Now, I've been sitting and fidgeting for an hour and I'm stiff as a board.
I stood and by the time I'd straightened up, with a fair bit of struggling, she told me to stop and sit back down, she even made a move to help me.
All in all it did seem to go well.

Her final words as she left ?
"It seems you're better off driving than you are walking".
My wife, the dog and I now have everything crossed.

I'll update this thread as soon as I hear everything

Thank you all for the help and advice.

Thanks for the update, it really makes a difference to nervous members if they can see how others have got on.

The dreaded brown envelope arrived this morning.
I opened it and the first thing I read was "The end of your Disability Living Allowance".
After a quick change of underwear I read the rest of it.

Enhanced rate daily living component.
Enhanced rate mobility component.
No review for three years.

It's all taken just over 6 weeks from the day I sent my form in to my decision letter this morning.
I'm still a bit overwhelmed as I had no idea I would get the daily living component.
Anyway, thanks to all who had a hand in writing the guides, made things a lot easier. And thanks to you Gordon, for your advice.

Would you like scans of my decision letter ?

Hi D,

Many congratulations on your Enhanced PIP Awards for both !! :cheer:

Thanks for the positive feedback !! :)

As you have a three year award, you can expect to receive your renewal/review forms 12 months before the end date of your award.

If you wish to offer copies of any of your documents to B&W, you should contact Steve :
