Hi
I have attended my appointment today in Dunstable.
I was asked the same wuestions as I was on the form, the assessor typed them up as I spoke. She asked me to stand up, touch the floor which I could not do, touch each of my fingers with my thumb which I could, then lift my legs which I was unable to do.
I told her I used a stick when I am struggling because of my balance.
My condition was quite bad today but not bad enough for me to use my stick, although I was still quite wobbly and in pain.
That was it, she said she'd write a report and let me know in 4-8 weeks.
I thought it was a complete waste of time. I am now suffering for having to leave the house at 8 and go there. Very peed off :(

I too have fibromyalgia as well as other problems,

I told I only went out one day a week

I was not examined as she could see i was in alot of pain

She only saw me walk about 5 or 6 feet.

I was awarded standard for care and nothing for mobility

Lets hope yours goes in your favour, keep us in touch and let us know what you were awarded

I was awarded the lower rate for both, not happy with the decision at all.
