Yes, you are only given two opportunities to attend, so if you cancel the current appointment you must attend the new one or risk having your ESA claim closed.

Maximus try to run a rolling three window for bookings, so I would expect you to receive a new appointment in 7-10 days for a date no more than three weeks ahead.

You can cancel up to and including the day of your current appointment.
