ESA home assessment was created by scottysnan
Please help, I am waiting for home assessment capability for work.
I have CAD, CAS, Diabetes, anxiety, depression and query osteoporosis still being investigated.
I have had a letter to say my cont based ESA will end this month as I have been claiming 365 day and not entitled to IB ESA due to partner working. I have spent endless hours on the phone to DWP and Maximus who blame each other and tell me I need to speak to the other one.
A manager from Maximus did give me her name and number and asked me to contact DWP and ask them to phone her, which I did. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and then the guy started spouting about guidelines do not allow dwp to contact Maximus, so I asked what the guidelines said about timeframes for capability assessments. Surprisingly he refused to answer that one!!!.
I have been told there are no Doctors in my area and even when they are in my area the appointments are taken up with priority cases and new claims, this is a new claim not my fault it has taken you a year. I have done a complaint, but no response yet
What is the next step

Welcome to the forum.
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
I would get your MP involved, the DWP can ask Maximus to prioritise your assessment so that a Decision can be made before you reach the 365 days.

The system uses two user names, one is used to log into the site and is not displayed, the other is your forum name and is. You're not the first to get them the wrong way around and certainly won't be the last
