Terribly sorry to hear about your mother!
You will get 14 days notice of a hearing unless you opted for a short notice hearing.
I would contact the Clerk of the Court and the venue you expect to have a hearing at, it should be on the letter accepting your appeal and ask for their advice. If you wait for a hearing to be booked then it is down to the Judge and they may have less flexibility.

Hi, Since I last wrote I had to cancel my appeal of which I did in writing because my mum passed away and my husband has been diagnosed with cancer, so I just could not cope. The confirmation letter from the appeal court did say to let them know if I need to reinstate the appeal to let them know. I did not know I could do that, can anyone advise me please as I do feel as though I might be able to go through with it soon. If so does anyone know how long I have to be able to do this.

Hi Gordon, I was going to ring TS and ask if possible to re-instate my appeal but just haven't been able to cope still and waiting for counselling. I really feel that I should go through an appeal but just wondered if anyone knows if this would be able to be changed to a paper hearing if it can be Re-instated, hubby is having chemotherapy and we don't know if he might have to go to hospital in emergencies at all so cannot risk a date to have to attend court. Any help will be appreciated. Thankyou

Yes if they accept the reinstatement then you can switch to a Paper appeal, just make sure that the Tribunal Service have all the information that you want them to look at as you will not be notified of when the hearing will take place.
