The waiting is over. Received my award letter this morning. I have been awarded enhanced rate for both Mobility and Daily Living.
In my case, making a new claim after the zero award was the right way to go.
At the moment I am just so relieved the process is other. It's been a long and stressful 11 months since I was 'invited' to claim PIP (being on full DLA).
Award is until Sept 2020, so I can relax and get on with my life now without the grinding stress of the past year.

I was awarded PIP up to February 2017, but was sent a reassessment form earlier this year to complete.
I had an ATOS appointment on the 28th April which I attended. I then received a letter dated 12th May that stated '... we'll contact you as soon as we've made a decision'.
Is it usual to wait more than 5 months for a decision? Should I contact them? Not sure what to do ... any advice gratefully received.

Hi Woody,
Many PIP decisions are taking around 8 weeks from the time that DWP get the file back from the assessor. 5 months is rather extreme! As the end date for your PIP award is getting nearer, I think it is worth getting with touch with DWP to see what is going on.
