I should keep esa and pip questions apart but one quick one on the appeal for pip how long do I have to appeal?

You have one month from the date of the MR Notice letter, you can appeal up to 13 months after the date of the Decision but would then need to provide Good Cause as to why the request is late and the Tribunal Service may reject your reasons.

Well it has been nearly 6 months now since I filled the form in, I have pestered the dss helpline a good few times and they only say that your still getting paid at the moment and there is nothing on your file but I am wondering how long this can go on for, obviously 6 months is a long time to wait for a decision as to whether I need a face to face medical. Is this normal?

Hi Lesjo,
It is not the most common situation but we do occasionally see cases, like yours, where claimants wait a very long time. The only think I can suggest is that you get your MP on the case, they can often get things moving.

There's no point your chasing the DWP about the assessment, you need to speak to Maximus, they may be able to give you an idea of how long you might have to wait.
