I have a feeling I know the answer to this but just wanted to seek clarification. I was originally scheduled for an assessment for at the end of August but had to cancel the day before due to the person coming with me being unavailable due to illness, although the assessment centre cancelled it anyway on the day and said they hadn't updated their records and didn't realise. They arranged a new appointment for the 15th of September and lo and behold, an hour beforehand I got a call cancelling that one as well, the new appointment unfortunately in a weeks time is for 3pm and I have a child in school, I did mention this on the form and stated that the person accompanying me usually picked up my child so could the assessment be in school hours which all the others have been but not this one. I haven't been able to arrange childcare as yet but if I do that will obviously come at a cost, is there any help/alternative with this or am I a bit stuffed on that front?
Try contacting Maximus and ask them to cover the expense, they may not but might offer an appointment that is more convenient, if they do then make sure you have your availability and your friends so that you can book a new date while on the phone, if you leave it to them to book then there is every chance that it will still be inconvenient fro you.
