sent my ESA50 form for 9th of sept 16 deadline was created by Willow
Hi, new to this but need some help please.
I sent my ESA review pack back almost 3 months ago, on 17th February this year. Apart from a 2nd letter reminding me to send the completed form back before the deadline, I have not heard from them at all, should I phone them or just leave it for them to get in touch, with me? I know the review pack was delivered as I sent it next day delivery and it was sign for when it got there. Anyone had anything similar or know how long it takes to complete a review?
Thanks in advance
Willow

Hi Willow and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
DWP are not known for their speed! Although they have generally been quite good with ESA recently, compared to PIP.
The fact that your benefit is still being paid is good sign, if your form had gone astray payment would have stopped.
The only way to know for sure is to contact HAAS (Maximus)

You might wish to bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future. That will allow you to return with further questions/comments rather than having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously if everything related to the same claim is kept in one place - and I hope you will find it useful too

Hi
I was sent the forms to re-apply for ESA,(I have been on it for quite a number of years in the support group) I sent the booklet back by registered, next day delivery, and have proof it arrived.
My problem is this, I returned my booklet/form on 17th February 2016, and have heard nothing since. It's now June and I am starting to get really worried, which does not help my health in the slightest.
Does anyone have any idea of the DWP's time frame or if they have any backlogs? Any info would be gratefully received.
Thank You
Willow

Hi Willow,
I have merged your query with the previous one relating to your ESA. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one place. You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now.
The time taken to make ESA decisions varies hugely. Although many claimants hear something within a few weeks, we have today heard from someone who has only just been sent an appointment for a face2face assessment despite having been on the Assessment Rate for 2/5 years!
I'm afraid the only advice I can give is the same as when you asked this question previously (see above).

Hi willow,
I returned mine last November (I'm in the Midlands ) and I didn't hear back until early May.
Favourable response! So take heart, the fact it's taking so long isn't necessarily a negative thing!
Hopefully you will hear soon.

I returned mine 22nd March and am still waiting - I email Maximus every Friday for an update - all I have got back so far each week is that it is still to be reviewed by them. Its hard waiting.
