Assessments are usually an hour, you will have to check with the venue for their closing times.

As when my daughter had her last pip assessment she was 16 and I was allowed to speak for her but not sure if things are different if over 18. My daughter struggles with being understood and I am afraid they will ignore or refuse to hear what I say. I am her official carer does this make a difference ?

I have merged your query with the previous topic relating to your PIP as we ask members to keep everything about the same claim in one topic.
The assessor will want to hear mainly from your daughter although you should be allowed to add a little in order to clarify things. Being an 'official carer' will not make any difference to this, it is the claimant who is being assessed.
Please reply to this message with further questions or comments about your daughter's PIP claim and we will do our best to help. You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now. hicky1 wrote: Pip assessment today at 5pm in Birmingham be glad to get it over with I've got copies of hospital reports and copies of physio / speech exercise programs that I will be taking with me as I can't be sure they have read the reports. I'm also taking my daughters medication and things that she needs to use such as air splints, Lycra gloves and leg splints. I'll report back later hopefully we will seen on time centre closes at 6
Good luck.
