There is no issue with her paying back the ESA she is not entitled to whilst she is away.
Based on the reply above, I will look to make contact with the right party in the afternoon.
Unless you are her appointee, you have no legal right to operate on her behalf, that does not mean that the DWP won't accept your doing so, but they may not, for example; will you be able to answer the security questions?
All I can say is that It is a requirement of her benefit that she notify the DWP if she is going out of the country for more than four weeks.
