Hi, another thank you from me, using your info I have managed to secure three claims, one for a friend who had hers totally refused. DLA to PIP. I did her appeal for her. It took me some 8 hours. She has Lupus. I won hers for her.
Another for a friend who was refused Attendance allowence, even though she had a Motability car, lived in a council adapted bungalow and had just retired at the age of 72, having worked for the DWP Independant living fund, for 15 years.
Then my own. They sent me the forms over Christmas and wanted them back on 21st January. Thank the Lord we had not gone to our daughters in Australia. I did not go as I had a feeling it would drop through the letter box about then.
I have to say that they wanted me to call back, as they were busy and I could not register. But I rang back an hour later and got through to someone who let me register. They did phone me back, actually three time the following week. I was very surprised. They were very nice to me. They even rang me back as it was getting near the time, to remind me to get the claim in on time. I did get it in on time, all 120 pages of letters, results and and appointments I had had in the last 7 years.
They rang me after three weeks and said they were sending someone out to see me at home. I had not asked for this, but they said I was too ill to come to an office!! A lady came the following week. She stayed about 1 1/2 hours, on leaving she said she did not think I had anything to worry about. Three weeks after that, I had a letter from PIP just one page, it said this is your yearly statement from us. I had already had one from Blackpool, pages all about claiming PIP and the amount I would get until I had claimed PIP. Ithink it came early as two weeks later I recieved the full letter setting out my points. I was awarded top rate for everything, for five years.
Thank you so very much for all your hard work.I will stay a member and keep up to date with everything so I can help others in the future.
