Dear Moderators,
Update.
I have received a letter today from Independent Assessment Services, they state that they used to be called Atos, with regards to an appointment for me in a weeks time for a face to face consultation with one of their Health Professionals.
The appointment takes place locally but a different place to where I have attended before for ESA assessment.
They must have caught up now with consultations as I was expecting a long wait.
Do you think there is anything to worry about with them making an appointment so soon ?
Kind Regards.

Not in the least, the administrative process of booking an appointment is completely separate from the assessment itself.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Dear Moderators,
As my face to face consultation approaches the effects of my conditions worsen, I have no appetite and I am having little and broken sleep with worry. I know that I shouldn't as it is my chance for the assessor to see how I am but I doubt myself and play down my limitations, feeling ashamed and embarrassed talking about myself with a stranger.
Could you advise me if consultations for PIP follow a similar assessment for ESA please.
Kind Regards.

PIP assessments are fairly similar to ESA ones in format, the questions will be different due to the activities being looked at being unique to PIP.
There is a section at the back of the PIP Claim guide that covers the assessment and the questions that you are likely to be asked.

Dear Moderators,
When I attend my face to face consultation for PIP, will it go against me in any way if I ask to see what is been written down by the assessor. Also can my partner read what is been written down as well or is it just for me to see only and whatever is written down will this give me any idea of how the consultation has gone ?
My consultation is imminent and I am terribly anxious and nervous, I haven't been sleeping or eating and I dont eat food much as it is, I have had no appetite at all.
Kind Regards.

You can ask, but not all assessors will allow you to see the screen, also, at this stage all they will have recorded is what has been said in the interview, their opinions and recommendations are added to the report after the claimant has left.
You can request a copy of the report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim, leave it a couple of days to make sure that they have received it.
