i'm adding to my message from last night just to say that a letter hasn't arrived today regarding a home assessment so will need to ring them however, also not heard from them regarding my request for the assessment to be recorded....whether they offer a home visit or if they insist on my attending Friday's appointment and will have to ask for that too -is there anything I need to be mindful of for this too please?
Thank you
Ask about the recording, it won't cause any problems.

I've just received a message from the assessment centre saying that they've received a letter from my GP and whilst processing it, they've cancelled my appointmaent and there's no need to attend....as it's a recorded message shall I leave it at that as that seems clear or ring them to acknowledge & cna they put that in a letter?
Thanks
No I would still ring them, you need to understand whether they are now offering a home assessment or they feel able to do a Paper Based Review without needing to see at all.

I'd be very surprised if they were except for not knowing what is going on in which case ask when they will and phone back. They will have only cancelled the current appointment if they were going to do one at home or a PBR

I've rung and they've only just received the letter so can't say yet (taken a week to get to relevant people) and may be that they don't need to see me and not to worry as it's them who's cancelled the appointment. They will let me know as soon as they've looked at it......gentleman did stress not to worry.
Hope I've done enough and will have to wait and see......and pray.
Thank you very much again, i'm grateful to you

Please can you tell me if I should now write to confirm what's happened today.....just found this advice for cancellations? If so, it suggests writing to the DWP.....where would I find this address,,,is it the one on the letter confiming my appointments ie The Health Advisory Service?
Thank you
